Categories, Start Times and Fees

CATEGORY START TIME DURATION ENTRY FEE
"C" (Cat 4) Beginner Men, "C" Women, Juniors 12:00 PM 30 minutes $20 for Men, $10 Women. $5 for Juniors.
"B" (Cat 3-4) Intermediate Men, "B" Women 1:15 PM 45 minutes $20 for Men, $10 Women.
"A" (Cat 1-3) Expert 2:15 PM 60 minutes $20 for Men, $10 for Women.
  • For participants in multiple events, the second and third events are half price.
  • A current USA Cycling annual license or one day license is required; Current USA Cycling license must be presented at registration. One day licenses will be available on site for an additional $10.
  • Events might be shortened based on weather or other considerations. Start times will not be moved forward.
  • Time for practice laps is provided between events. Please do not warm-up on the course while other events are in progress.

Registration

Registration on the day of the event only. No pre-registration is available for this event.

Registration opens at 11:00AM. Registration for each event closes 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.

Forms will be available at registration. For those of you who like to fill out a release form ahead of time, here are links to the necessary USA Cycling Forms.

In the "Event Date" field, enter October 4, 2009. In the "Event Name" field, enter Leroy Township Cyclocross. In the "Race/Activities Entered" field, enter the appropriate category.

Minors require the signature of a parent or legal guardian to participate in the event.

No sandbagging! However, participants are free to race in one or more races at or above their category.

Men, Women, and Juniors start together in the "C" race. Prizes are awarded to the top Juniors, and to the top finishers from the combined Men's/Women's field.

Men and Women's fields start separately in the "B" race. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in both fields.

The "A" race is open to Men, Women and Juniors. All are combined in one field. Prizes are awarded to the top overall finishers.

Podium Ceremony follows immediately after each race.

Lake Effect CX Series Points

Points for top finishers count toward the Team Lake Effect CX Series. Check here for more details.

Bikes and Helmets

Participants may use any bike that can safely navigate the course such as mountain bikes, hybrids (with bar ends removed) or cyclocross bikes.

Riders must wear an approved helmet.

Weather Considerations

This race will run rain or shine.

In the event of severe weather, such as a thunderstorm, the race will be delayed or canceled. Any decision to delay or cancel the race will be made at 12:00 PM on October 4.

Directions to LeRoy Township Park

Take Interstate 90 to Vrooman Road (Exit 205). Take Vrooman Road South 1.4 miles to the Five Points intersection. Turn left on LeRoy Center Road. The park is 0.3 miles from the intersection.
