Leroy Township Time Trial

Meet at the Leroy Township Fire Department (13028 LeRoy Center Road, Painesville, Ohio Map) at 6:30 PM on Thursday nights. There is no entry fee! This race, organized by Jim Behrens, is strictly for training and fun. I actually rode this race about 15 years ago, so it's been going strong for a long time.

The course is 7.8 miles. It's an out and back course along mostly flat roads with one short sharp climb. The course starts at the fire station, and heads west on Leroy Center Road, and turns right onto Kniffen Road. The turn around point is part way down Kniffen Road after a sharp climb and is marked with an "X" on the pavement.

Riders start in random order at 1 minute intervals. At the end of the ride, you receive a wooden tongue depressor marked with your time, the date, and the wind conditions.
