Bass Lake Community is about 1 mile south of Chardon on Wilson Mills Road.
If you're heading there from Chardon, avoid Wilson Mills. It is actually a pretty dangerous stretch of road. Instead, take Woodiebrook, which is often car free.
Bass Lake is a great place for doing climbing repeats. The climb from Lakeview to Parkside is about 100 feet. The roads range in average pitch and max pitch, but range from 7% to 15%. It's a sleepy residential community, so you'll often have the roads to yourself. Cars that do pass are generally considerate. In the autumn, there can be some seriously slippery leaf debris on the road. In the winter, watch out for black ice.
